Know about Bharatanatyam Dance

Bharatnatyam is over two million years old, the quality and wealth of its substance has been maintained even these days. Bharatnatyam starts in Tamil Nadu which is also generally known as creative yoga and Natya yoga. The name Bharatnatyam is based on the phrase "Bharata" and thus associated with the Natyashastra. The strategy of individual activity which Bharatnatyam follows can be traced back to the fifth Millennium A.D. from sculptural proof. This traditional dancing has an enchanting impact as it uplifts the professional dancer and the observer to an advanced stage of religious awareness. It is a dancing style that consists of Bhava, Raga, Tala, and Natya which indicate the actual significance of the Bharatnatyam.

 

Bharatanatyam is probably the earliest and very traditional dancing style which seems a feature of viewpoint, statue, music and literary works. This dancing got its name from Sage Bharata who had written the Natya Shastra. Bharatanatyam is very energetic dancing from wherein the positions and balanced position, i.e. the weight of one's human is placed directly down the center of the whole body. There is emphasis on the stunning of the ground with the feet. There are leaps in the air as also pirouettes known as bhramaris. There are movements done with the knees calling the ground. These are known as mandi adavus.
