'Odissi' has been one of the traditional dances of India. It is an historical dancing type that comes from Orissa at the east coast of India.  This dance is basic of worship to the Orrisan temples. This dancing is mostly conducted by women performers who are known as 'devdasi' or the lord's servants. The primary concept that 'Odissi' moves around is spiritual and is a narration from the impressive guides of Indian heritage.

The primary style of 'Odissi' is 'Tribang' which results in 'three parts' where one's human body is separated into three parts: the head, bust and torso providing a form of helix.
